Light mortar from cinder pulverization

ASC, 2025.

This had-oc material test, as the title explains, starts with cinder blocks pulverization, aiming to recycle aggregates for a new necessary lightweight mortar, but also to measure how much time does it take to pulverize with basic hand tools.

Volume of mortar needed: 0.8 liters = 0.0008m3

Desired density= 1000kg/m3

Dosage: 3 x 1 x Eps:

800g total mortar weight, of which EPS is insignificant,

200g of cement Cp3 32rs,

600g of pulv. Aggregate.

Timing

1. Cinder pulverization = 600 g

Time required to pulverize =  130 seconds

2. Eps foam to pearls =  400ml  (a piece of 1x28 x14.3cm)

Time required to split pearls = 16 minutes

3. Mix:

Water = 200ml, time needed: 10 minutes.
